Mo Xi is an entertainment experience inspired by traditional Chinese divination. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. The short version: we do not require your birth data, name, or location to serve you — that is a deliberate design choice.
1. What we collect
- Your question — the text you ask the coins.
- Your cast results — the hexagrams or palm-oracle positions generated for you, and the reading text.
- Feedback marks — if you tell us a reading “resonated” or not, we remember which.
- Preferences — for example, if you tell us you prefer shorter answers.
- A random identifier stored in your browser, so we can recognize returning visitors across sessions.
We do not collect your name, email, postal address, precise location, date of birth, or any government identifier — and we never will unless you actively choose to provide an email for receipt purposes in a future release.
2. How we use it
We use your question and cast history to give Mo Xi a sense of continuity — to speak to you as someone it has met before, not a stranger. For example, if work has appeared in your questions repeatedly, Mo Xi may gently acknowledge that thread. On the free tier we only use the current day’s context; a full history is reserved for paid subscribers as a clearly labeled feature.
3. What we share
- AI processing — your question and reading context are sent to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) solely to generate the reading text. They are not used to train advertising models.
- Payments — purchases are processed by our payment partner (Ko-fi, via PayPal). When you claim a paid reading, we use the email address you paid with solely to verify your purchase and unlock the reading. We do not see or store your card details.
- We never sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.
4. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to:
- Access — a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Export — your data in a portable format.
- Deletion — removal of your data and reading history.
To exercise any of these rights, email 75514393@qq.com. We respond within 30 days. Because we store so little, most requests are resolved quickly.
5. Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage only — no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics on this version. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings; clearing it simply makes Mo Xi treat you as a new visitor.
6. Children
Mo Xi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the data.
