The traditional reading
Hexagram 30 is the fire that clings to what it illuminates — brilliance that depends on its object. It counsels clarity and warmth in dependence: attach yourself to what is worthy, and be that which helps others see. But like fire, do not confuse the light with the fuel; stay humble about your own nature.
