The Abysmal, Water · Kan
The Abysmal — water over water, and the art of falling well.
The traditional reading
Hexagram 29 is the repetition of danger — a pit within a pit, the risk that seems to renew itself. Its teaching is that the heart must stay right while the situation stays hard: keep sincerity, keep acting, and do not panic into the current. Danger is real here, but it is survivable for the one who remains upright.
