Contemplation — the tower from which a whole pattern is seen.
The traditional reading
Hexagram 20 is the observer on the tower who sees the shape of things before acting. Stop and take in the whole pattern: how people behave, how forces move, how the weather turns. To be seen plainly by others, first become someone worth seeing. Watch well, and let understanding precede action.
